Medical Air Transportation for Critical Patients
Imagine you urgently need medical assistance, but your health condition prevents you from flying on commercial airlines, often with layovers. It was precisely for such patients that we established our medical aviation service in 2007. In the very first months of operation, we transported patients to Germany for treatment, including individuals with multiple injuries, premature babies weighing less than 1 kg, and patients under anesthesia on mechanical ventilation.
What happens if a patient doesn’t have a visa?
Many patients in need of urgent medical evacuation did not have valid entry visas. What should be done in such cases?
For such emergencies, we can transport patients without a visa.
To arrange for a visa to be issued upon arrival in Germany, we only need a copy of the first page of the patient’s and accompanying person’s passports to confirm their validity. In this case, visas are issued directly at the airport upon arrival in Germany.
