Treatment Costs in Germany: What to Expect

Determining the exact cost of treatment in Germany can only be estimated roughly in advance. Unfortunately, many medical reports we receive from abroad do not meet European diagnostic standards and cannot be used to make a precise diagnosis. If it is not possible to make a specific statement based on the documents received, it is also impossible to determine the cost of treatment.

In recent times, we have increasingly received inquiries from patients with oncological diseases. Each case is highly individual, with varying levels of disease progression, prior treatments, and surgeries. As a result, it’s not possible to immediately answer the question, „How much does treatment cost?“ Instead, we offer an initial diagnostic evaluation. After completing the examination and confirming the diagnosis, we can discuss the treatment plan and provide an approximate cost.

Why an approximate cost? Based on the information received, the clinics will issue an invoice for a so-called deposit as a payment guarantee. This amount will be overestimated by approximately 15% to account for risks. After the treatment is completed, you will be provided with a final invoice based on the actual costs, and any remaining funds will be refunded to any bank account you specify.
